2025 report

The Past Captains, Committee and invited members met at Swinley Forest for this annual fixture. Although the weather was overcast with intermittent rain throughout the day, it was a pleasure to play such an excellent course which remains a favourite for the society.

There was some solid scoring in the morning session despite the damp conditions. John Farrell took the early lead, posting a score of 37 points to head the field going into the break.

As always, the lunch at Swinley Forest was a highlight of the day. It was great to get out of the rain and enjoy the excellent food and company before heading back out for the second round.

The afternoon session saw a change at the top of the leaderboard. John Farrell added 29 points to his morning score, finishing in third place with a total of 66.

Edward Glover had a very strong afternoon. After scoring 27 points in the morning, he improved significantly to shoot 41 points in the second round, securing second place with a total of 68.

However, Joe Copeman took the win with a consistent performance across both rounds. He followed his morning score of 36 with 38 points in the afternoon, finishing with a total of 74 points.

Congratulations to Joe on the victory and to everyone who attended a thoroughly enjoyable day.
